MY JOURNEY

November 2022

Over 20 years ago, I began teaching yoga by accident, our yoga teacher didn't show up one night and so I stood in, I ended up teaching at the gym for over 2 years!

I had a long time out from yoga due to family commitments, then I started running in 2013, somehow I managed to qualify for London, Boston, NYC & Chicago marathons, this was an incredible time of my life that served me well at the time.

During lockdown I decided to commit to yoga for a month, I signed up to a month online with a teacher I went to in NYC one day, slowly, yoga and walking replaced running, my body and mind were changing for the better, they both became a healthier, happier place to be.

In Nov 2020 I decided to teach yoga online using my fitness / massage & sports qualifications and knowledge but felt like an intruder. I eventually decided to take my 200 hour teacher training with my yoga teacher in USA, he is an international yoga teacher and one of the best in the world, so I decided to learn from the him.

Once I'd completed my 200 hours I realised I'd barely scratched the surface, so I decided to take the additional  300 hour training,  This gave me more depth of knowledge and a deeper understanding of yoga and philosophy.

I have also taken movement qualifications and I am an Inside Flow teacher after going over to America to get a qualification.

I am honoured to have been invited by my teacher to be a mentor to aspiring yoga teachers in training, I absolutely adore every aspect of my journey, I am learning so much from my mentees, I'm so excited to continue with this journey.

I am student first and teacher second. I will never stop learning, I am committed to learn and share this beautiful practice with you.

As you can see from these pictures, it is most definitely a journey, you don't just become flexible, strong and enlightened over night, you must keep on showing up to make things happen!

My goal is to share the gift of yoga with everyone, no matter their level of experience, and to help them find peace, balance and joy in their lives. Join me on your journey to discover the power and potential of the practice of yoga.
